We still run into quite a bit of resistance trying to convince others why exactly it is so important to build websites that are mobile-friendly. A mobile site is essentially a copy of your website, providing an outlet for visitors to use your website with partial or even the same exeprience they would get as if they were using a computer. The benefits of having a mobile version of your site are simple:

• A smoother experience is presented smaller-than-desktop size devices (rather than trying to navigate a site from a phone as if you were on a computer
• Mobile sites add to a more official feel, let's just be honest here!

At this point in 2014, it should be a no brainer that a mobile site is beneficial to your online presence, and a great addition to your business.

With mobile-responsive design, your site is designed to automatically adjust to the size of device, no matter the screen size (large or small) and orientation (landscape or portrait). It switches between these options on-the-fly. Responsive design provides an easy way to give users an experience that reflects the feel of a desktop and still has a similar great look to your full site.
